Thank you to everyone who has been in and helped make our paper and embellishments disappear. I have really enjoyed seeing each of you again and I am sad that in only a couple of weeks we will be closing. It has been so much fun getting to know so many of you and hearing about your projects and your families. I am truly going to miss you. But before that will happen there is lots more to go out the door so starting next Monday,

We will be closing Fountain of Memories on May 28, 2011 at 3PM. We have really enjoyed serving our wonderful customers and helping you get the scrapbook and card making supplies you needed, But the time has come for us to move on to new adventures. We are looking into the possibility of continuing our crop nights at another location and we’ll let you know if that is happening. Each week until we close our inventory will go down in price. Please check our blog for the next week’s Discount.

The week of May 2-7 it will be 20% off original price.

The Rewards Program’s final day will be Saturday May 7^th, if you have a reward please come in and use it. Gift cards need to be used by May 28^th when the store closes.

We are having a final Cricut class on Saturday May21st. If you are interested PLEASE contact the store with your name and phone number at 507-373-1991 or fomemories@qwestoffice.net The beginner class will be held in the morning from 10-12AM and the advanced in the afternoon from 1-3PM. Each class is $18. You may take both classes the same day. If you would like a description of the classes, see below in the March Newsletter to see what each class includes.

Our last crop at the store will be on Friday May 13^th. And the final Stamping with the Ink Spots will be on Tuesday, May 12^th.

I will put in one final order about the 13^th of May. If you have gotten scrapbooks at the store and you need refills please order them before that time. You will be charged regular price for the refill or other special orders you may have.

Graduation & Prom Paper

Easter is a week away and Proms are starting and Graduation is just around the corner. We have lots of new Prom and graduation papers in along with stickers and We have a Class of 2011 cutout ready for your scrapbooks.

On Saturday, April 2nd, we will make an Easter/Spring Card. The card has a pocket in so you can place a gift card, packet of seeds or other small items in for a gift. You can also make a small basket that you could use for Easter or May day, out of a 6x6 piece of paper and a 1 inch x 12 inch strip of paper. Hope you can join us!

It is starting to feel like Spring. I have been enjoying the warmer weather and hearing the birds sing as I leave for work in the morning, It has also been fun to get the new spring and Easter paper and embellishments in. We have some cute paper from K&Co. This line of paper has spring flowers and one of the sheet has a robin sitting in the nest, there are fun stickers to go with this. Creative Imagination just came out with a new line of Easter paper - PEEPS - the sugar covered Easter Treat is now a paper with some covered in sugar colored pink and yellow glitter.

For those of you who like Flower Soft we have some of the new Ultra Fine colors in along with the Easter 3D cutouts and the globes to place over them.

This Friday, March 25th is our Crop Night. Join us for a night of Fun, Food and Fellowship. The cost is $10 and includes supper.

On Saturday, April 2nd we will have a Make'N'Take to make Easter Cards. Join us during the day to make your card.

In March we will have a Make’N’Take on Saturday, March 5th, from 10AM-3PM

We will be making a St. Patrick’s Day card and learning

a new technique with luminarts H2O’s. The cost of each card will be $1.

The INKSPOTS will meet on Tuesday, March 8^th, to work on their cards.

The instructor for this class is Renee Thorson

The Beginner’s Class is a hand’s on class teaching you all of the basic operations of your Cricut. You will learn to use the creative feature of your cartridges, and become very familiar with layering and shadowing your die cuts. We will also go over all of the buttons on your machine so you are familiar with what they do. We will cover: Blade Depth, Pressure, Speed, Center Cut, Multi Cut, Portrait, Flip, Quantity, Fit to Page, Fit to Length, Mix and Match, and Auto Fill. Come with lots of question. I want you all to be comfortable using your Cricut after this class.

The Advanced Class goes beyond making basic die cuts with your Cricut. Some of the things we will go over are the use of Cricut Markers and cutting materials other then paper with your Cricut. Some examples of this would be vinyl for wall hangings, chipboard to make embossing folders, and thin rubber to make stamps. I will also be showing you how to renew the life of your old mats once they have lost their “stickiness”. Finally, I want to touch on the use of the Cricut Design Studio software and the Cricut Gypsy to enhance your designing abilities. One of the things people love most about these design programs is that it gives you the ability to weld letters or shapes together into one image.

It’s hard to believe it is 2011 already. Inventory is done and we are excited for the New Year to begin. This week all of our valentine papers stickers and other products will be on sale this week from Wed January 12^th to Saturday January 15^th for 30%off. This is a great time to get started on your valentines.

Also this weekend we are having a 2 day crop Friday, January 14^th 5 to 10PM and Saturday January 15^th10AM to 3PM. If you can only come for 1 day the cost is $10 if you can come for both the cost is $18. We will have a meal each day, and snacks will be provided and don’t forget chocolate. It's time to start thinking about Christmas. We had a beautiful fall and it doesn't seem time to start to wonder where in the world we moved the Christmas things when everything got rearranged after the tornado. We have some great papers to make cards with. The BoBunny's Winter Joy line in purple and green is a fun variation of the normal red and green. I made a card using the Winter Joy Stripe paper, cut out a Christmas Tree with the Sizzix Tree, Christmas Star & Stand #656738 out of Best Creation Glitter Paper Light Purple. I added garland to the tree with Stampendous flock,
We have gotten in some great products in the last few weeks. From Sugar Tree we now have some great wildlife paper, One has moose, dear, big horn sheep or goats and elk. Another is a fall farm scene with a barn and 2 deer running across the field with a green tractor. If you like loons we have a pair of loons with a baby in a wooded lake with a cabin in the distance. We have a log cabin on the lake, and a cream colored background with Wilderness campgound, Wilderness lodge saying and fish, bears and canoes. We also have one paper with elephants, tigers, lions etc. that says ZOO.

For sports fans we have new baseball paper, and for the Albert Lea fans we have a tiger stripe paper and some tiger stickers. From Scrapbook Customs, formally Stamping Station we have Albert Lea High School paper back in stock. We also have a gold and maroon words that says gophers; blue and red words that says twins; and gold and purple paper that say vikings. We have also done some cut outs in those colors with the same words.
If you have a die cut machine we have gotten new diecuts and embossing envelopes from Sizzix and from Cuddlebug. We also have some Spellbinders die cuts. We recently got our order in from Stampendous with lots of fun new stamps, 5 packs of heat embossing powders, glitter or flock and glitter in lots of fun colors.

Cricut Class
On Saturday, November 13th, we are having a Cricut Class. From 10AM to 12 Noon will be the beginners class. During the class you will go over what the buttons are for and how to use the basic functions of the machine. This is a great class for those thinking about getting a machine or for those who have a machine but have not learned the basic funtions yet. In the advanced class from 1PM to 3PM you will go over how the gypsy works and using the machine to its fullest abilities. Renee Thorson will teach the class and the fee is $18 per class. You can sign up for both classes if there is space. There is a limit of 6 per class. You will need to bring your cricut to class if you have one.

Bake up Some Special Memories Class
On Saturday, December 4th, we will have a class using the stampendous pail, and Bake up Some Special Memories Stamp included with the class. We have a display at the store if you want to see what we will be making. The cost of the class is $25.00. We will include some recipes so you can go home and fill your pail.

Only 2 more Crop Nights before Christmas
There are only 2 Crop nights before Christmas. On November 12th you can crop for $5 if you bring 3 cans of food to donate to the Salvation Army Food Shelf. In December we will have a bring your favorite Christmas snack to share for our meal. There will be no charge for the December Crop Night.

The Ink Spots
The Ink Spots will Meet November 9th to make Christmas Cards. On December 14th they will have their Christmas Party. If you would like to join them call the store to reserve your spot. The cost for the evening is $3 or 3 cards for the Food Shelf.

Tattered Angels Album Class

On Saturday Sept. 24th we are having a Tattered Angels Album Class. We will be using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to create a fun Chipboard Album. Learn new techniques and how to use tools to make your album. The cost of the class is $25 and includes an album and glimmer mist.

Winter Make N Take

Nicole Langer of Erickson & Associates will be here on Wednesday afternoon Sept. 29th for a Make N Take. She will be using Stampendous Stamps to make a winter card. It could be used as a Christmas Card or just a fun card to give to a friend. Join us between 1 to 5 PM to make your card and meet Nicole.

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over. We have had a very interesting summer. The tornado destroyed most of our property, with 3 out buildings gone, alot of the trees destroyed, and the outside of the house needing total replacement, and inside lots of cleaning, scrubbing, painting, and furniture replaced. Thankfully the house is done except for a few little projects, the garage will be started in the near future so that by winter we will have returned to normal, whatever that is.
At the Store, Dayna decided it was time to do some rearranging. We have been having fun moving shelving and product around, and then trying to remember where we put some of it. We have been getting in a lot of new products. From Moxxie we have their new line of Breast Cancer/Cancer papers to go with our Melissa Frances papers and all of our stickers and rubons. Moxxie also has a new Dance line "Luv 2 Dance" for the tap, ballet, jazz and hip hop. Noteworthy is their new line for theater and music paper and stickers. The Robins Nest now has diamond shaped Dew Drops, we have 4 different color combinations.

This Friday night July 23rd, we are having a crop starting at 5PM and going until 10PM. The cost is $10 and includes food (supper), fun and fellowship (sharing ideas and lots of talking and laughing).

We have new product in. From Sizzix we have the Hot Shot die cut machine and diecuts and embossing folders some of them are Tim Holtz designs. Our Creative Imagination order is finally here. The Luminart paints are fun to try and the colors are great. We should have some new colors of Bazzill paper in the next few days. If you haven't been in lately we have other fun new papers from BoBunny, my favorite is the Peacock Lane papers. Moxxie has some great new summer papers. If your kids like to have squirt gun fights there is even a paper for that. From Stampendous we have some great stamps - one has pinwheels, and I found a pinwheel paper that you can use with it that is great for a summer card.

The Freeborn County Fair will soon be here. We will close at 3PM during the fair from Monday through Friday and on Saturday we will close at 12 Noon. We hope this does not inconvenience anyone. Have a great time at the fair.

We think that the leak is finally fixed at the store so the school and sports paper should be back up in the next few days. At home we have most of the new windows in and one side of our house is resided. We have repainted all the inside of the house except our bedroom because I just decided on the paint color (our bedroom needed the ceiling scraped and the sheet rock re-screwed because a branch had broken though the roof and hit the top of sheet rock and pushed it down. The walls were full of marks where things had hit, both of the windows had broken so there was glass everywhere in the room. The carpet had to be removed because of all the glass and will be replaced with a hardwood look laminate or something. I am staying away from carpet it's not fun to clean up after a storm not that I ever plan to take part in a tornado again.

Happy Birthday America!
We will be closed on Saturday, July 3rd and Monday, July 5th to celebrate the 4th (and clean up at home)

We have had a very interesting and very busy last 2 weeks on June 17th about 6:40PM we had a tornado blew through our acreage. In just a few moments 3 out buildings were gone. 4 cars were destroyed most of the trees in our 100 plus years old grove, and 9 windows, siding, shingles etc. were all damaged on our home. Inside 6 of us survived unharmed. God is a great protector.
Wonderful people came and helped pick up our yard of broken buildings, fallen trees, tin from the neighbors and other debris. The Salvation Army was there to help with anything we needed from water, food, snacks, generators if needed. They were great.

Life is slowly getting back to normal, soon the house will have new windows, the siding will be on, the roof re shingled and other repairs done as needed. We are very thankful to everyone who came and helped us in any way, you helped make our burden bearable.

At the Store, when I came to work last Monday after the storms of the weekend, there were two ceiling tiles ready to fall - full of water, I moved the school papers out of harms way. I hope to get them back in place in the next week when the ceiling tiles dry up, we are sorry for any inconvenience it may cause you.

While I have been out of the store we have gotten alot of new merchandise in, I am in the process of getting it in the computer and hope to get it out on the shelves next week. The new Justrite stamps and acrylic blocks are here. New paper lines from Moxxie and BoBunny, stamps and stickers from Stampedeous. We are now carrying the Big Shot by Sizzix, embossing folders and die-cuts, we have the tea-cup, flip-flop and cake 12in die-cuts. 2 different Tim Holtz embossing folders and some other products from them.

Our next crop night is Friday, July 9th. We will donate all of the crop fees $10 a person to the Salvation Army. We will also have other specials with proceeds going to the Salvation Army. They have been a great help to those who were affected by the storms of the last few weeks and we would like to help them out. The evening runs from 5PM to 10PM. We will also accept donations for the Salvation Army Disaster Relief fund.

New Product in the Store

The weather is beautiful; it’s a great time to be out taking pictures for your scrapbook.

We have some new paper in for your summer activities and more is on the way. From TaDa we have a Little R&R, it is fishing and camping double-sided paper, there are also die cuts, and note cards to cut out. Hook, Line & Sinker has bobbers across the top with hooks and fish under the water. Cabin Fever is a community of cabins in the woods next to the lake and Pathfinder is rows of different vehicles from golf carts and scooters to cars pulling boots. The last paper that we have is Scouts Honor and has a variety of badges including “s’more stacking”, “Berry Picking”,“Picnic Participant” and “Travel Champ” to name a few, you can cut it up if you want to make tags for some of vacation fun. Another line from TaDa is EIEIO and is based on the farm. Scribble Scrabble is another new company that just came in we have two different lines. One is pink flowers and the other is pale yellow and orange. These could be used for card making as the scale is smaller then some other lines.

Do you sometimes wonder where to put your purse when you are in a restaurant or other public places. We now have Clipa, a purse hanger; it can hang your purse or other bags on edges, ledges, rails and openings. You can use it as a bracelet or leave on the strap of your purse ready to use. It will hold up to 45 pounds and has a 10-year quality rating. Next time your in be sure to check it out.

Cricut Class
On Saturday, June 26th from 10AM to 12 Noon will be the Beginners Class. Where did April go? I seems to have disappeared and suddenly it's May and almost Mother's Day. We are having a sale Thursday to Saturday to help celebrate MOMS. The schools are Albert Lea, Alden-Conger, Glenville-Emmons, USC, Lake Mills, and NRHEG, there are 2 different papers for each school in their school colors. The Scor-pal will be 20% off, this would be a great gift for a mom who loves to do paper crafts.

Did you get to spend time outside today? I wish I had it sounded like it was beautiful outside.

We are changing our hours on April 1st. We will now be open Monday through Friday from 10AM to 5:30PM, on Saturday we will still be open from 10AM to 3PM. On the nights we have a crop or Stamp night we will be open until 9PM if that is more convenient for you.

We have postponed the Cricut class that was scheduled on April 10th because the instructor had a conflict. We are having a Tattered Angel Class on Saturday, April 24th. In the class you will make a small album using Glimmer Mist, Masks, using the masks as a stamp and other ideas for you to try.

May 1st is National Scrapbook Day we are planning a 10AM to 10PM Crop which includes lunch and supper. There is a limit of 10 people for the day and the cost is $20. Sign up at the store.

Thanks to everyone who came last weekend and helped with cleaning out the Clearance area. It was fun to see old friends and meet new people. I have been enjoying the few warm days we had and waiting to see more of them. I didn't enjoy seeing the frost on the ground as I left for work this morning.

We have 2 new fishing papers and 2 lake/water papers in. One of the water paper's has a dock on one side and just water on the backside, while the other one is a lake shore scene with clouds on the back so they both can be used for different layouts. We have new stickers in for camping and outdoor activities. My favorite is the Smore's from Reminisce.

From Stamping Station we got in a "Godparent", God Son" and God Daughter" if you want to do a baptism or dedication page.

If you like glitter paper we are getting some of the Best Creations line. I have used it to cut out shapes and words on our die cut machine and it is fun to see how well it cuts. You have to make adjustments but it is worth it. We have green, yellow, pink, red, purple, blue, gold and silver in stock.

If you would like to learn how to get more out of your Cricut, we are having a Beginning class on Saturday, April 10, from 10 to 12 noon and an Advance class from 1 to 3 in the afternoon. The cost of each class is $18. Bring your Cricut, a note book to take notes and paper to practice on. Also write down your questions so you don't forget them. Are you ready for spring? It is beautiful outside today, my car thermometer said it was in the upper 40’s, I am never to sure how accurate it is but the warmth feels wonderful. I even got to see some grass where the snow had melted away. It’s brown but it is grass, and not white.

Next weekend Skyline Plaza is hosting the Home and Recreation Show on Friday, March 12th through Sunday, March 14th. We are extending our hours, on Friday night is our scheduled crop night so we will be open until the plaza closes, on Saturday we will be open from 10AM to 4PM and on Sunday from 1PM to 4PM. I would like to thank everyone who helped us celebrate our second anniversary. We had a lot of fun and hope you did to. It's time to put up the Christmas tree, and get out the ornaments that are treasured from year to year. If you want to get new ornaments this year why not make some. I have cut paper using old German patterns, they make great tree ornaments or to hang in windows. Have you made paper snowflakes lately? They also look great hanging on the tree or in the window. Scandinavian woven hearts are fun for Christmas decorating or use them to put a small gift in. If you need a garland there is the paper chain, with double sided papers you have endless possibilities for your creation. Have fun getting ready for Christmas and remember not to let the season overwhelm you. Stamp with the Ink Spots

The Ink Spots will be stamping and having their Christmas gathering on December 8th. Everyone should bring some kind of finger food to share, a New Year's Eve card to exchange and if anyone was in on the "complete someone else's card" challenge, they are to bring that card completed.
At the November, Tuesday Stamp Night they decided to call the group the Ink Spots, because they all go home with some spots of ink.

Time is flying by, the third week of September is here already. The Albert Lea School papers are in again, along with Alden-Conger, Glenville-Emmons and Lake Mills. We also have new sports papers including volleyball and hockey and will soon have new football and soccer. We are getting the sports die cuts done for the various schools. If there is a sport or event you would like to have just let us know and we will design one for you.

This week is SCRAP PINK!
Scrapbooks etc. is partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to hold the 3rd Annual "Scrap Pink" fundraising campaign in September 2009 at independent retail stores across North America.
The campaign will culminate in an exciting on-site crop hosted by each participating shop the weekend of September 25-26, 2009. Scrapbookers are invited to enjoy a fun-filled event at their local scrapbook shop! Scrapbookers all across the nation will come together to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Ten dollars of your crop fee will support Komen for the Cure's promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures.
The cost for the 2 day event will be $25, or $18 for one day, with $10 going to the Susan G. Komen fund. We will have supper on Friday night (5PM to 11PM ) and lunch on Saturday (9AM to 5:30PM). We have had Minnesota and Iowa maps for a while. Some new dance paper is in for ballet and general dance, paint ball paper, Baptism paper in white, blue and pink. First Communion, Confirmation and the Lord's Prayer are some other paper that we just got in. There are new border stickers in gold and silver for cardmakers or scrapbookers. Lots of Christmas, Halloween and Fall papers and embellishments. On the embellishment table we have new brads crayons, deer heads, Christmas poinsettias, snowflakes and colorful fall leaves.

What a fun week this has been. There has been people in the store from all over the country; Connecticut, California, and Mississippi. We shouldn't forget Iowa, South Dakota, and various locals in Minnesota. It is fun to hear about what everyone is working on and what products they enjoy working with. This week we have gotten more fall and Christmas papers in. I made a Flower Soft layered card using the new Polar White. It is cute. We also have three new religious stamps by Inkadinkado. We have had to reorder two of the stamps.

Christmas & Flower Soft

Hi, The last two weeks have flown by. We have a lot of new product in. For those of you who use Flower Soft they have finally developed a white - It is called Polar White and looks great on snow scenes. We also have some other colors including peach, pale green, a variegated blue, brown and black. We are starting to get in Christmas papers and Fall papers. We have gold and silver glitter paper by Best Creations, it does not lose glitter like some other glitter papers do. Relay for Life

The Fair is half over, and today feels like fall. I am hopeful we get a few more days of summer before school starts. We have some Freeborn County Fair Die cuts, FFA and 4-H paper to use with pictures of your exhibits. Next weekend is the Relay for Life at the Freeborn Co. Fairgrounds. If you are making a luminary we have pink ribbon paper and stickers and also some remembrance stickers you could use. We will have all our papers and embellishments in the family/baby/pink ribbon section on sale for 20% off next week, also all pink cardstock will also be on sale.

Hi, We got Nick somewhat moved out of the house this weekend, he's back in Mankato to go back to school this fall. He is in an apartment so I got to digout some things that I had been saving for him. An old table grandma didn't want anymore, some chipped dishes, unmatched glasses. It's exciting to see your children grow up and leave the nest, you never know if it's the last time or if they will be home again in a year or two. He's not far away but it's different when you have been used to seeing them daily.

This week is the Freeborn County Fair. We will close each day at 5:00PM and on Saturday we will close at noon. This week anything that can be taken to the fair will be 15% off, just tell us it can be shown at the fair. Examples are 4-H paper, cow paper, flower paper. Be creative and see what "prizes" you can find at the store. Does not include clearance papers, embellishments, and can not be used with Radio Gift Certificates.

Scrapbooks etc. is partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to hold the 3rd Annual "Scrap Pink" fundraising campaign in September 2009 at independent retail stores across North America.
The campaign will culminate in an exciting on-site crop hosted by each participating shop the weekend of September 25-26, 2009. Scrapbookers are invited to enjoy a fun-filled event at their local scrapbook shop! Scrapbookers all across the nation will come together to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Ten dollars of your crop fee will support Komen for the Cure's promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures.
The cost for the 2 day event will be $25, with $10 going to the Susan G. Komen fund. We will have supper on Friday night (5PM to 11PM ) and lunch on Saturday (9AM to 5:30PM). We will have surprises during the 2 day event. There is a limit of 12. If you want to sign up for one day the cost is $18.

After waiting for about 6 weeks the Star Wars Paper by Creative Imagination, is finally here. We have 4 different papers, Darth Vader, Yoda, Star Wars Logo, and the Death Star. We also have a small album that comes with stickers and papers to fit the album.
Now it's time to go and find those 70's pictures of the Darth Vader, Hans Solo or Princess Leia costumes. Do your kids like playing with Star Wars light sabers and you have some great pictures of them, then you need to check out this paper.

We just got a fun new product in the store from Unibind. The PhotoBook Creator lets you create your own hardback Photo book from the convenience of your own home or office.

After you get your pictures printed on the double sided paper, or collect your kids art projects, put them in order fill the book and place in the Photo Creator for 90 seconds until the red light changes to green. Let the book sit until the binding has cooled then it is ready to be enjoyed. You no longer have to get your pictures uploaded then wait until its printed and sent to you.

Photobooks come in a range of sizes, If you purchase the PhotoBook Creator you get the Photobook Creator which binds the books, an 8.5 x11 inch black linen book and 20 sheets of double sided photo paper, and a website to download software to create a picture book. We have 3 sizes of covers 4x6, 8x8 and 8.5x11, and additional packages of photo paper in the store.

You can use the Photobook Creator to make a portfolio if you are an artist or photographer. A scrapbooker can put her pages in protective covers and bind them into a book. Kid's On Thursday's

Hi, May was a busy month, and June is flying by. Schools out and we are having Kid's on Thursday the second and fourth Thursday of the months of June, July and August. This week we are making a Father's Day card. You can bring your children in between 1 and 5PM and they can make the project. The craft will cost between $1 and $5 and will take between 10 minutes and 30 minutes to make. We will have paper crafts, scrapbooking and card projects. We will display the craft for 1 week before the event. You don't need to sign up, just bring your kids in and look around while your kids are working on their projects. Picnic Time

We just had our first Picnic of the Season. It was cool enough so the ants aren't out yet but at the store we have been invaded with ants. There are ants on the paper, ants on stickers and even ant brads.

We have our graduation and prom paper, stickers, and albums. There is a 12x12 and 8x8 album by MBI. We have graduation gowns in black, red, blue and white to put on your graduates page.

New Products Coming in

I know its been too long since I have updated this and my apologizes. We have gotten some amazing things in at the store We have Core'dinations Paper pack also to go with them we have coredinationg ink pads. You don't have to worry about matching your ink with your paper. They are wonderful. With the Core'dinations paper the core of the paper is a lighter shade of color so when you rip it or distress the paper it shows though.

We have also gotten more products from Flower Soft. If you haven't heard of flower soft you use it like you use glitter just put your glue down and sprinkle the Flower Soft on. It adds a wonderful floral affect to you project. We also have Beaddazzil that adds a beautiful bead and sprakle to your project. Another new item we have in the store is Dew Drops by Robin's Nest. We have many colors to chose from.

We do have many more new items on order and waiting for them to com in.

Vintage Christmas Ideas

All the items on this post where made using these Crafty Secrets products. Plus I also used there Sweet Kids stamp set. This post has lots of pictures but to see the items in person you can come in to the Store and see them first hand

The Wreath is made with a Grape Vine wreath bought at the craft store. The Largest of the Santa's is from Crafty Secrets Cotton Scraps. Hes matted on Star Dream Paper and Best Creations Paper. All the the Santa's images have had the edges distressed and had Distressing Ink on them

The Candles image was stamped on tissue paper and colored in. Then you place it on the candle and cover it with wax paper and use your embossing tool on it.
For the basket all you have to do is glue a Cotton Scrap on it and embellish as desired. The ornaments also have Cotton Scraps on them and some ribbon. Stickles also work great on glass Ornaments. Cards for Area Food Shelves

We have started to sell handmade cards at the store. 100% of the proceeds will go to area food shelves. If your looking for a nice homemade card and don't feel your crafty enough to make one yourself come in and check out what we have.

Where do we get the cards from ? We are asking area stampers and card makers if they would donate cards. If you make cards and would like to help raise funds for the area food shelves, please bring them into the store.

I thought it would be fun to show some products that might get over looked while brozing thought the store.

Here is our Tattered Angels Glitter Mist. This wonderful product add sparkle and color to your paper crafts. You can click HERE to see an earlier post about them. Another wonderful about this product is that they have the color on the back of the bottle so you know exactly what color you are getting. If you don't see the color you where looking for let us know and we will order it in for you. You can also check out there web site HERE for some wonderful ideas for using there product.

Here are some wonderful products to adding ink to your project. With all of the you rub or dab then on your ink pad and then on your paper. How you apply it will give it a different affect.
Stating at the top going clockwise. We have Color Dusters, Stenciling brushes,Sponge Daubers and Sea Sponges. Each of this does different affects and very fun to play with.

We also carry Glue Pads. With this pad you can use your favorite stamp and then add glitter, flock or what ever else you can think of to your image. You use it just like an regular ink pad. The Doodlebug glitter works wonderfully with the Glue Pad.
